A leading provider of hard and soft fm/ total fm services is recruiting an account manager to be based from their head office in Essex. Salary £40-50k plus car allowance and package.
Overview
The role of Account Manager within Our client is a vital link in the successful delivery of services to our clients. Account Managers are one of the primary representatives of Our client and spend significant periods of time with our clients. To be successful they must not only have an extensive range of technical skills but also display extensive interpersonal and leadership skills both external and internal to Our client.
Key Accountabilities
Health, Safety and the Environment
Maintain a proactive safety culture and ensure all activities under control are delivered safely and minimises the impact on the environment.
Client Relationships
Proactively manage the interface between Our client and our clients. Ensure Our client are continuously working to fulfil the needs and agreed requirements of our clients whilst representing interests of Our client fairly.
Client Business
Maintain a continuous understanding of our client’s business critical needs and strategy to ensure Our client is geared to support their ongoing needs and Our client’s business interests are supported
Communication
Work proactively to ensure all communication, whether written or verbal, between Our client and our clients is positive, professional, supportive, accurate and appropriately documented.
Service Standards
Personally, own Our client’s commitments to delivering high quality, proactive, reliable and responsive services. Fully understand Our client’s commitments and how these are delivered, personally and positively intervening should service problems occur.
Service Progress
Monitor progress of services and programmes of works to ensure Our client is delivering to agreed commitments
Reports/MI
Review, develop and communicate reports as required. Ensure thorough understanding of all the information/data and that solutions are established, understood and delivered where service variations are identified.
Service Providers
Understand and monitor the capabilities and performance of all service providers across the client’s portfolio. Support Our client Supply Chain team to proactively manage all agreements and contractual relationships
Commercial leverage
Be aware of the commercial and economic factors that could adversely impact our clients and Our client’s business and ensure these are monitored and acted on accordingly to negate or minimise impact
Managing Change
Take a lead role on understanding and responding to change and development across their clients – this includes service mobilisations, contract/service changes, supply chain changes and service demobilisations
Incidents/Escalation
Take a lead role in managing incidents across their delegate portfolios, ensuring any potential impact to clients, Our client or any of our respective staff groups are mitigated as soon as possible at the optimum expense to resolve the issue. Take ownership of escalation to client and Our client management teams as required to allow effective management of the issue, its impact and client/stakeholder relationships

Seek opportunities to add value to both clients and Our client. Drive the ongoing improvement of service standards, costs and physical estate as agreed
Account Manager Roles and Responsibilities
The account managers role is to act as an extension to the Client and the Clients primary strategy by ensuring that the FM management and delivery of services meets the Clients expectations under the umbrella of the Contractual obligations agreed between Our client and the Client. This includes meeting the associated KPI’s, Compliance and Governance levels.
The Account Manager will record all meetings and associated objectives for both Client and Our client, and report on the delivery of objectives in all directions. These objectives and achievements will be reported in each period pack.
Responsible for the day to day management of the Client Account and work closely with the Clients FM Management team from both a strategic and operational perspective, to ensure best in class facilities management support is delivered to Client Operations.
Manage relevant escalated issues and attend Client properties as the role demands.
Responsible for the delivery of an appropriate PPM schedule that is delivered on time and on budget to meet the agreed contract commitments with the Clients full engagement and co-operation.
Together with the Client, and the wider Our client team, identify opportunities and innovations to drive value and efficiencies into the process at all levels, across the timelines set-out.
To attend Monthly Client review meetings, and all structured and agreed engagement sessions across the Client portfolio, which will also include relevant training and updates on using the Our client technology.
The Account manager will ensure he/she is available to attend mandatory monthly Our client internal ‘Account Manager’ meetings, and at least one day per week in the Our client Head Office for admin and internal team reporting.
Assist with regular reviews of performance of all service providers with Our client (in accord with the Our client Suppliers Charter). To support the Our client Supply Chain team to assess performance, identification of improvements for service delivery and identify opportunities and new initiatives/technologies that will assist the Client Property team in supporting the wider business.
Work with the Our client compliance team to ensure the maximum compliance of the estate is achieved within any Client financial or operational constraints. This will also encompass any Health and Safety activities.
Ensure the Client is fully aware of ‘Lost Trading hours’ as a result of Client constraints, and where constraints are not relevant, ensure the Our client team work tirelessly to regain trading where Health, Safety and Environmental health requirements are met.
Work with additional stakeholders with the Client business such as Health & Safety, Training, Procurement, etc. on all Facilities matters that may arise, and within the constraints of the contractual agreements.
