Air Conditioning Improver or Maintenance Engineer – Planned Maintenance works across Greater London, Kent and Essex.

Due to new contract awards and a peak in their seasonal workload, we are assisting an established Building Services Contractor in Essex to strengthen their service and maintenance teams across Air Conditioning, Commercial Heating and Electrical Maintenance, with four vacancies to fill, open to candidates from across the South East.
The organisation has a wide variety of commercial clients across the South East, so we're seeking experienced engineers who can turn their hand to a multitude of different issues across the usual manufacturers and ranges of equipment – including chillers and refrigeration systems when required. We are open minded on salary, pay an hour's travel each way in addition to your eight hours site work, provide a company vehicle and an experienced management and support team. You may be required to supervise and develop an apprentice engineer from time to time.
For this particular role, we are looking to recruit a PPM maintenance engineer / improver. If you have recently qualified in Air Conditioning or a similar subject, or you have some prior experience in HVAC Maintenance and would like to develop your skills further, we'd love to hear from you.
The ideal applicant is somebody who, along with the criteria below, prides themselves on a high level of professionalism and ability to build good working relationships with colleagues and customers.
This is a mobile role which involves travelling and working away. As industry standard, the applicant must be flexible to the needs of the business.
A reasonable level of technical knowledge and experience is preferable. An NVQ (City & Guilds) Level 2 in Refrigeration/Air Conditioning preferred Service, Maintenance & Repair of Air Conditioning and Building Services would be useful.

If/when they get called out they get over time as well if it is out of normal working hours.
  • Travel time is paid 1 hour for on the way to site and 1 hour on the way back from site but only if 8 hours are worked on site.
