Our client, a National Student Accommodation provider are looking to recruit an Operations Manager/ Assistant Manager to take the Operational lead in the day-to-day running of the Campus Back Office function and to support the Regional Manager/Director in the strategic direction of the Property portfolio.

The main responsibilities will be:

– Ensure Health and Safety processes on the campus are supported and managed consistently by the whole team.

– Assist Senior Management with recruitment/ HR needs, including interviewing, reviews and liaising with Head Office HR as required.

– Plan, organise and manage the onsite cleaning and maintenance service and ensure that the stock is maintained to allow this to happen.

– Ensure all cleaning and maintenance requests from residents are attended to in accordance with the agreed SLAs in a prompt and courteous manner.

– Project management of replacement/alteration/refurbishment CAPEX projects at the site.

– Maintaining ongoing performance development of the Back Office team

– Conduct audits and workplace inspections of campus to ensure compliance with agreed procedures if requested

– Monitor and review service level agreements with relevant contractors / suppliers

– Develop and maintain efficient / cost effective maintenance plans and ensure that the plan optimises cost effectiveness and operational efficiency

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in a residential environment including a busy front of house and experience of managing a team and multiple departments. Due to the nature of the role somebody with solid knowledge of Facilities Management and Health & Safety will be a stand out candidate.

In return, our client is looking to offer a salary up to £32,000 per annum plus benefits.
