Building Services Manager
Responsible To: Chief Operating Officer
Assigned Site: Luton
Contracted Hours: Standard 37.5 hours per week (Mon – Fri; 7.5 hours a day with 0.5 hour for lunch between the core hours of 8.00 & 1800, with additional hours as required, plus on call rota).
Job Summary: The role of the Building Services Manager is to assume operational responsibility for the provision of all site services, commercial and compliance matters within the contract.  This will include, but not be limited to – management and leadership of site personnel; adherence to the clients and Service User policies in line with ISO 9001 and 14001 accreditations.  Ensure that all service deliverables are fully compliant with statutory and contractual requirements, meeting expectations and returning value to all stakeholders.
Key Job Requirements:
The post holder will manage the services for the site.  They will be expected to effectively manage site teams in their duties to ensure contractual, statutory and QMS compliance for the services and to ensure that these are delivered within budgetary requirements and with continually improved profitability.
Qualifications
  • City & Guilds 236 or 2357 Level 3 Electrical or equivalent competency.
  • Electrical qualification 17th Edition Test & Inspect.
  • Driving licence, full clean
Experience
  • Minimum 3.5 years' experience within comparable role.
  • Familiar with service level agreements and ability to deliver against same.
  • Knowledge of building and information management systems.
  • Experience of operational maintenance and development.
Skills
  • Use of Microsoft Word and Excel, to produce formal reports and letters.
  • Analytical thinker, able to address problems and issues with a timely and systematic approach.
  • Ability to lead and manage people toward achieving desired goals.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective networks both internally and externally.
