Today, we are seeking to recruit an experienced and qualified Electrical Maintenance Engineer to provide maintenance coverage Council properties in the Cheshire region.  
As part of the property maintenance team you will be expected to provide a comprehensive repairs and maintenance service to commercial and domestic electrical installations and appliances in Council owned properties and to be reasonably multi-skilled to meet the full demands of an excellent repairs and maintenance service.
This is an ongoing temporary assignment. There is ample opportunity for this to develop into something permanent over time.
We require an engineer with a proven track record of Electrical installations, repair and maintenance work. A minimum of 2 years post qualification experience on Electrical Installations and Maintenance work is required for this role.
We would expect the electrician to hold relevant certification (NVQ Level II/III), 17th or 18th Edition and previous experience of minor works and building maintenance.
You will undertaking basic Planned Preventative Maintenance works (inspections across emergency lighting, fire alarms, general wiring to NICEIC standards, etc) and also providing a Reactive Maintenance service, responding to requests from management on a daily basis.
The hourly rate is estimated at £13.94 per hour (PAYE) but we are open to negotiation and will consider each application on its own merits.
You will be subject to an basic DBS Check for this work – those already in position of a current DBS Check are in a great position to start straight away!
