Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Central London

Catch 22 are supporting their Client in their search for an excellent Electrical Maintenance Engineer for a High End, residential property site in the heart of London. The successful Engineer will have evidence of working in high net worth residential properties and/or hotels for a sustained period. They will also have excellent customer facing experience as this role calls for relationship building with their tenants and the maintenance team alike. Therefore, candidates may be asked to provide suitable references to progress their application.
This is also a large site to maintain so the successful candidate will maintain a good degree of physical fitness and be happy covering several large buildings in the vicinity. The successful candidate will also be asked to go through a basic security check at the start of their placement-failure to pass this check or disclose previous criminal records will end in immediate termination of role.
Carry out planned and reactive maintenance engineering services, as below but not limited to:
? Periodic fixed electrical Testing
? Portable Appliance Testing
? Annual Electrical Inspections
? Undertake emergency lighting testing.
? Internal and external lighting maintenance and repair
? Carry out small fabric works and first fix calls, including Plumbing and drainage calls.
Identify electrical equipment/appliances in the building which need fixing/replacing e.g., white goods, emergency, internal and external lighting, general fabric.
Review building management system to assess how the electrical appliances in the building are operating and take action to correct if necessary.
Oversee the testing and inspection element of works to a standard BS7671.
Assist any contractors by directing them to work needed doing and as far as possible explaining the situation.

City & Guilds/ EAL in electrical engineering or other relevant qualification and experience
18th Edition of the BS 7671:2018+A3: 2018. Requirements for Electrical Installations. IET Wiring Regulations
5 years’ experience in electrical services
Valid full driving licence
IT literate with MS Office and utilising handheld technology and business APP’s
Ability to manage the competing demands of clients.
Ability to respond quickly to clients and effectively put in place plans for problem resolution.
Organised to ensure all planned maintenance is carried out and any issued followed up.
Desirable to have had additional training e.g., health and safety training, first aid, fire training.
