Catch 22 work in close partnership with one of the UK's leading Facilities Management Service Providers across numerous sites nationwide, helping them to recruit experienced contractors and temporary workers across maintenance, cleaning, security and management.
We receive multiple enquiries each week and we are keen to speak to any Facilities Management Contractors or Temporary workers in the London, Leeds and North West Regions.
Today, we are seeking to recruit an experienced and qualified Plumber or Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to provide maintenance coverage Council properties in the Cheshire region.  
As part of the plumbing and heating maintenance team you will be expected to provide a comprehensive repairs and maintenance service to commercial and domestic plumbing and gas/oil heating installations and appliances in Council owned properties and to be reasonably multi-skilled to meet the full demands of an excellent repairs and maintenance service..
This is an ongoing temporary assignment. There is ample opportunity for this to develop into something permanent over time.
We would expect the engineer to hold relevant certification (NVQ Level II/III in plumbing or similar, Gas Safe Certification would be great but not essential) and previous experience of minor works and building maintenance.
You will undertaking basic Planned Preventative Maintenance works (inspections across hot and cold water systems, pipework, pumps, filters, basic HVAC maintenance, toilets and waste water, etc) and also providing a Reactive Maintenance service, responding to requests from management on a daily basis. You may also be asked to contribute to the general upkeep and maintenance of the building fabric and assist the engineering team with small works and projects from time to time.
The hourly rate is estimated at £13.00 per hour (PAYE) but we are open to negotiation and will consider each application on its own merits.
You will be subject to an basic DBS Check for this work – those already in position of a current DBS Check are in a great position to start straight away!
