Our client a global facilities service provider are looking to appoint a School Site Manager at a PFI secondary school in Wolverhampton. This is initially a temporary position however this could become a permanent placement for the right applicant.  
Core responsibilities of the role include:
  • To be the first point of contact to the client and ensure service delivered in line with the contract
  • Provide regular progress reports and service updates to our supply chain partners
  • Responsibility for ensuring due compliance to the contract specification
  • Ensure that all Health and Safety Policies and Procedures are adhered to, referring conflicts to the Client where necessary and that risk assessments, safe systems of work and COSHH records are held centrally on the contract for all working practices
  • Undertake regular audits of all service areas and present written reports with recommendation to management.
  • Manage the delivery of all agreed remedial /emergency and planned works to ensure the building offers a safe environment for all users
  • Ensure that the work schedules are regularly reviewed to ensure best value for money and efficient delivery of services to our client requirements.
  • Monitor and report on financial performance & quality of service delivery.
  • Manage a mixed team of facilities staff including Caretakers, Cleaners and mobile engineers.
  • Carry out staff & supplier appraisals in accordance with organisation policies.
  • Take responsibility for cost control of the Maintenance, Cleaning, Catering, Security and Utilities and promote methods to maximise profitability & reduce costs without compromising Health & Safety, service or quality.
  • Evaluate all proposals for project works or capital expenditure and make informed recommendations to management ensuring industry best practise is applied and value for money has been incorporated within the recommendation.
 
The client are looking for candidates with an strong understanding of both hard and soft facilities management and the administrative/helpdesk side of FM. Ideal candidates will also hold an IOSH qualification, have experience managing PFI sites and have previously worked in an education environment.    
For this the client are looking to offer a salary of £25,000 per annum this will be paid at £12.00 per hour (40 hours per week) during the temporary period of the placement. As this job involves working in a school applicants must have an Enhanced DBS certificate dated within the last 12 months or be willing to be put through one.
